Diver Destroyers Bio - Curtiss Dill

Born and raised in a small farming community in Central Nebraska within the Rainwater Basin, I have been hunting nearly my entire life (25 yrs.). I started hunting with my dad out in the marshes of the Basin as soon as I was able to carry my “Red Rider” BB gun to learn proper gun safety in the field. From those first few experiences, I was hooked for life. After a brief slowdown during high school, I started to have a renewed interest in hunting, with a focus on waterfowl. This interest has grown into a passion over the years and I have had a great time sharing my passion with many people. I am a newer member of Ducks Unlimited and this has only furthered my enthusiasm for the sport.

I have been married to my high school sweetheart going on two years in October. We don’t have any children yet, but we do have a yellow lab named Remington that keeps us busy. My wife’s family has gotten me started deer hunting within the last three years, which has been an awesome experience for me, so in turn I have gotten them either introduced or reintroduced to the sport of waterfowling.

I normally try to hunt as much during the season as possible. I love to see the sun rise on the marsh in the morning and I am still trying to figure out how it can get much better. Usually when we go out, we target mallards, pintails, teal, and the occasional wood duck. I am also starting to get into a little more goose hunting, with this year being my first serious attempt at it.

Good luck this season
